The Original…Gin&Tonic

No self respecting Gin business could re-launch without stating it’s own take on the classic Gin and Tonic.  In our humble opinion, we like to make the classic G&T a celebration of Gin…strong, minimal fuss but solid basics.

Garnishes and other flavours are an absolute joy, but sometimes you need a paired back tipple to taste the subtleties in your quality spirit.

You’ll need:

The best quality Gin you can lay your hands on

Premium tonic, nothing too sweet or flavoured (after all, Gin is the hero here)

2 Large ice cubes or Gin Stones to reduce dilution

Unwaxed lemon peel

A stirrer

Method:

Quite simply add your ice cubes and lemon peel to a ready chilled highball glass. Pour 50ml of your Gin over the ice, add tonic to taste (we start with a 1:1 ratio and adjust from there), finally stir until combined.

I prefer my ratios a little closer to 1:2. How do you like yours? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
